Leadership Team
LEADERSHIP TEAM
Cosmicore’s leadership is grounded in accountability, professional experience, and a clear commitment to lawful development in Papua New Guinea.
The company is led by individuals with practical backgrounds in engineering, project delivery, resource development, and governance. Together, the leadership team is responsible for ensuring that projects are properly structured, transparently managed, and aligned with customary land ownership, regulatory requirements, and national development priorities.
Cosmicore’s leadership approach is focused on implementation — delivering real projects, protecting land and communities, and building long-term capability rather than pursuing short-term outcomes.

FOUNDER & DIRECTOR
Cosmicore Pty Ltd (Australia)
Cosmicore PNG Ltd
Melvin K. Jensen is a Papua New Guinean-born civil engineer and project surveyor with more than three decades of experience across Australia’s mining, energy, and major infrastructure sectors.
His professional background spans engineering, surveying, construction, and resource project delivery on complex projects executed under Australian regulatory, safety, and governance standards. This experience underpins Cosmicore’s emphasis on discipline, compliance, and accountable delivery.
As Founder & Director, Melvin is responsible for strategic direction and governance oversight, ensuring that Cosmicore operates as a lawful, landowner-led development platform aligned with customary land ownership and government requirements.
Melvin founded Cosmicore to address a challenge he understands personally: the disconnect between customary landownership and real development outcomes in Papua New Guinea. His leadership approach emphasises transparency, professional standards, skills transfer, and long-term value creation for landowners and communities.
Cosmicore reflects this approach — a disciplined, landowner-led company focused on implementation, not speculation.
“I was educated and trained overseas, but my responsibility has always been to return with skills and experience that can contribute meaningfully to Papua New Guinea’s development — lawfully, responsibly, and with respect for our people and land.”
A VISION FOR RESPONSIBLE DEVELOPMENT
Papua New Guinea possesses extraordinary natural and human potential. What has often been missing is not vision, but consistent, lawful implementation that translates opportunity into lasting outcomes.
Cosmicore was established in response to this challenge.
The company’s focus is to support landowner-led development through disciplined project planning, transparent governance, and professional delivery — working in partnership with customary landowners, Incorporated Land Groups (ILGs), and relevant government institutions.
Cosmicore recognises that development must respect land, culture, and community decision-making. Projects are approached progressively, ensuring that approvals, environmental responsibilities, and social considerations are addressed before implementation.
Rather than pursuing rapid expansion or broad promises, Cosmicore prioritises:
• lawful resource and infrastructure projects
• employment and skills development
• protection of customary land for future generations
• long-term community participation and benefit
The company’s philosophy is simple: development must be earned through performance, accountability, and trust.
Cosmicore’s work is grounded in the belief that sustainable progress occurs when landowners are partners, government institutions are respected, and projects are delivered with discipline rather than rhetoric.
Cosmicore is built on a simple commitment:
to make development work,
to make it better,
and to make it last.
This commitment is grounded in responsibility, discipline, and long-term accountability to landowners, communities, and Papua New Guinea.
